2025 Jeep Gladiator Comparison Highlights

The 2023 Gladiator was designed from scratch to be the most off-road capable truck ever made by Jeep, and it continues to build upon the rich heritage of tough and reliable vehicles while offering a unique combo of utility, open-air freedom, and versatility.

There are quite a few new offerings for the 2023 model year, starting with the Gladiator Freedom special edition which boasts capability enhancements as well as exclusive exterior features. You'll stand out with an Oscar Mike badge on the rear tailgate, LED headlamps and fog lamps, winch-capable steel front and rear bumpers, steel rock rails, and black wheels and accents. On the inside, the Gladiator Freedom wraps you in special edition leather-trimmed cloth seats and black accent stitching.

A new Capability Package is also now available for the Gladiator High Altitude model that includes a winch-capable front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera. On the technology front, the Gladiator Willys trim now comes standard with proximity keyless entry, a 7-inch instrument cluster, and remote engine start.

New updates aside, the core Gladiator experience is tried-and-true thanks to its standard 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Its power is usable across a wide torque band, and can be controlled via a six-speed manual transmission or available TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. There's also an option to swap for a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine that's rated at 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, perfect for larger towing and payload needs.

Following in the footsteps of the Jeep Wrangler, the Gladiator features removable and configurable roof and doors, giving you the flexibility to create your own formula for styling, security and occupant protection. The Sunrider Flip Top for Hardtop is available on all Gladiator models, and the available Dual-Door Group includes both full and half doors in matching body colors. Thanks to lower window ledges, the new half doors offer enhanced visibility for off-road maneuvering.

Of course, the Gladiator's on- and off-road capabilities come from Jeep's legendary 4x4 system that allows you to own the terrain no matter where you are. You'll benefit from enhanced traction, water fording, articulation, and ground clearance. And the exclusive Trail Rated badge indicates that the vehicle's strength and performance has been proven through rigorous testing.

And while you're out wandering the world, you can go forth with confidence knowing that every Gladiator offers over 80 standard and available safety and security features. Some highlights include blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with active braking, and rear cross path detection.
